Roberta Dacosta is an artist who transforms the slowness and continuity in accomplices in a process of painting where the composition emerges gradually, developing distinct narratives. By accepting this experimental and empirical spectrum, bringing together several consecrated strands, her work is made up of continuous and overlapping painting layers. Some works contain narratives where their lines flow in a contained unpredictability, which brings to light the tension of the impossibility of control. In others, works are finished with strong, attractive colors, following a naturalistic aesthetic, accompanied by flowers, arabesques and lace motifs involving ecosystems.
This investigation step describes spaces plenty of functions and varieties of scales, leading the viewer to analyze where their awareness expands and contracts among micro-particles to the contours of the natural wonders of Rio de Janeiro, to the stars in the sky. The observer is who decides what to observe, the micro or the macro, the material or the metaphysical, therefore, the work of Roberta is an artistic indictment that transforms the relationship between the viewer and the object, inherent in their own creative genesis and therefore indivisible.

Roberta Dacosta é uma artista plástica que transforma a lentidão e a continuidade em cúmplices de um processo de pintura onde a composição surge aos poucos, desenvolvendo narrativas distintas. Ao assumir esse espectro experimental e empÃrico, aglutinando várias vertentes consagradas, seu trabalho se compõe por camadas de pinturas contÃnuas e sobrepostas. Umas obras encerram narrativas onde suas linhas escorrem seguindo uma imprevisibilidade contida, que faz vir à luz a tensão da impossibilidade de controle.
Noutras, obras são finalizadas com cores fortes e atrativas, seguindo uma estética naturalista, acompanhada de flores, arabescos e rendas que envolvem ecossistemas. Essa etapa da investigação descreve espaços carregados de funções e variedades de escalas, levando o observador a uma análise onde sua percepção se expande e se contrai entre micro-partÃculas aos contornos das maravilhas naturais do Rio de Janeiro, à s estrelas do céu. O observador é quem decide o que quer observar, o micro ou o macro, o material ou o metafÃsico, portanto, a obra de Roberta é um libelo artÃstico que transforma a relação entre observador e objeto, inerente à sua própria gênese criativa e, portanto, indivisÃvel.
